Purchasing Flow

PURCHASING FLOW

Empathy is key when helping a user complete an action. If you can place yourself in the user's shoes, you can anticipate and solve for their pain points.

I spent a lot of time thinking about potential roadblocks before creating a simple and intuitive gift purchasing flow for Book of the Month.

Microcopy

MICROCOPY

Small words can have a big impact. Something as simple as adding a "cancel anytime" callout below your free trial CTA can drastically increase sign up rates.

By thinking about how your user may feel when deciding whether to click your button, you can write copy that ensures they do.

SUPPORT COPY

Support copy can be tricky. The user is looking for a direct answer to a question, or a clear solution to an issue - so it's not the time to be overly playful. But that doesn't mean it has to be boring!

I worked with Book of the Month to build a support center that addresses real needs while staying true to their brand voice.

Feature Intros

FEATURE INTROS

When introducing a new product or feature, it's tempting to tell your prospects every detail upfront. But, this early in the game, it's best to pique their interest rather than tell the whole story.

While working on a product intro for GitLab, I created separate paths for two different mindsets - the user who wants to continue researching, and the user who wants to try before they buy.
